About Small Talkers

 

Small Talkers is run by Sarah Cooper, a qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapist. Sarah has worked in both the NHS and independent practice, in homes, community clinics, schools, nurseries, child development centres and special schools.

 

Sarah works with children with a wide range of communication difficulties, such as those caused by: 

 

  • Phonology delays and disorders

  • Articulation difficulties

  • Dyspraxia

  • Language delays

  • Language disorders

  • Autistic Spectrum Disorders

  • Down's Syndrome

  • Developmental delays

 

Sarah is trained in the use of Makaton, PECS and Hanen.

I look forward to getting to know you and your child, and working together to see your child achieving their full potential. It's a wonderful thing to see children make progress, particularly when it comes to something so fundamental as their ability to communicate with you, their teachers and their friends. 

I deliver therapy that is informed by the most up to date research and my own professional experience working in Child Development Centres, schools (mainstream and special needs) and clinics. Being a Mum to three boys, I understand how little hearts and minds are motivated, so therapy for your child is delivered in a way that is fun, stimulating and rewarding.
